US President Donald Trump steps up its bellicose rhetoric and vows ‘fury’ against North Korea

United States President Donald Trump is ramping up its warmongering rhetoric, after professing that North Korea ‘will be met with fire and fury’ if the Pyongyang regime keeps threatening the American people.

Trump’s outburst reportedly comes after a piece on the Washington Post appeared to confirm that North Korea has now manufactured a nuclear warhead small enough to be mounted on a missile.

If the fact is confirmed, this could mean a dramatic development in the cycle of tensions between North Korea and the United States, particularly after a series of missile tests that culminated in the launch of a suspected ICBM in recent weeks. A weapon that can strike the US may become the catalyst for pre-emptive military action.

The United Nations recently issued Resolution 2371, imposing a new array of financial sanctions against the secretive country of North Korea, a measure that has proved rather unpopular in Pyongyang.

Speaking to reporters, President Trump said “North Korea best not make any more threats to the US. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
