US Vice President Joe Biden touches down in Ireland for six-day visit




000c6e27-642Vice President of the United States has arrived in Ireland for a six-day state visit.

Biden will meet with Enda Kenny  and President Higgins, as well as making trips to places in Ireland that are part of his ancestry.

The Irish-American is set to visit counties Mayo and Louth to visit the home of his ancestors.

He will also visit the world renowned Newgrange Heritage Centre as well as spending time in Dublin.

The Vice President will enjoy a round of golf with our Taoiseach in County Mayo.

On Friday evening, Biden will address an event in his honour at Dublin Castle which a spokesperson said would include “the Irish-American experience, the shared heritage of the two nations, and the values of tolerance, diversity and inclusiveness.”

The Vice President will return to the US on Sunday after he has lunch with Enda Kenny.
