The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said today that Ireland must develop new overseas markets in the wake of Brexit.
Mr Varadkar’s comments come in a week were he is holding key talks with Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau over possible investment in Ireland.
The Taoiseach who is scheduled to travel to Montreal and Toronto early next week told RTE News that it is more important than ever Ireland attracts further investment from overseas in order to combat the fallout from Brexit.
Mr Varadkar said:”In the context of Brexit, it is more important than ever that the Irish Government seeks to expand our markets overseas and strengthen our relationships with major trading partners.”
