Criticism of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is growing louder following his appearance with U.S President Donald Trump at the annual St. Patricks Day meeting between the leaders of the U.S and Ireland.

The Taoiseach has faced accusations of corruption after he admitted he placed a phone call to Clare County Council four years ago aid in the opposition to the placement of a wind farm near President Trump’s gold resort in the county.

However, the Taoiseach is also facing growing detraction for his fawning interview before the press with President Trump, whom he had spoken quite harshly of before.

Many Irish politicians joined in the chorus of other establishment political figures in attacking the maverick candidate during the 2016 U.S Presidential elections and even after he succeeded to become U.S President.

Met Eireann has issued a yellow weather warning for freezing temperatures and possible snowfall for all of Leinster and the counties or Monaghan and Cavan, that will stay in effect until midnight Saturday.

The cold front coming down from Scandinavia has been dubbed the “son of the beast” in reference to the Siberian cold front dubbed “beast from the east” that brought historic snowfall to the country in early March.

However, this cold front will not be as sever or last as long as the artic blast the country endured just two weeks ago.
