There were emotional scenes at last night’s Brit awards as many in the world of music paid tribute to the late great George Michael.
The world was sent into shock on Christmas day when the former Wham singer Michael, was found dead in his home.
Amongst the tributes his former band mate Andrew Ridgeley and the duo’s backing singers Pepsi & Shirlie, gave an emotional speech’s to pay their respects to the former star.
However the most tear jerking moment of the night cam when Coldplay’s Chris Martin took to the BRIT Awards stage to sing “A Different Corner” along with the late Michael whose archive footage was shown on video behind him.
During heartfelt performance, there was moment of synchronised harmony when both singers sang together in front of the onlooking crowd.
The emotional footage which was recorded sometime ago also showed the singer saying, “I never really wanted to be somebody else.”
