The Late Late Toy show delighted many last night after a fantastic performance by the children involved, but as we wake up this morning there was one moment of joy that has shown us what a great gesture can really mean to a child.
The moment in quesion which has delighted the nation, was when a young boy got to meet his hero. The boy at the centre of it all young Charlie Smyth from Co Cavan showed us all what it is really like to have dream come true when he got the chance to meet golfing superstar Rory McIlroy.
Young Charlie who was presenting a segment on the well known PGA Tour video game got the surprise of his life when he was introduced to McIlroy by host Ryan Tubridy.
Charlie’s delight and shock surely did make for a special evening.
