“We made a balls up and I deeply apologise” – O’Leary holds his hands up and admits he and Ryanair made a mistake




Michael O’Leary has confirmed that there will be around 50 flights a day cancelled for the next six weeks.

He apologised for the inconvenience caused to around 400,000 passengers but emphasized that there was still 18 million passengers not affected.

“We made a balls up and I apologise”, the head of Ryanair said at a press conference this afternoon.

Ryanair have announced a full list of the flights that are cancelled up until Wednesday 20th September.
The airline have plans to cancel 40-50 flights a day for the next six weeks.

The flight cancellations are being implemented due to pilot shortages, and will affect thousands of passengers who have received such short notice.

The Commission for Aviation Regulation said it expects a large volume of claims for compensation from those affected.
