As the homeless count rose to dramatic levels throughout the year, the political class saw fit to spend over €400k on posters showing their unwanted visage in every street corner.
Fianna Fail splurged over over €145k, while Fine Gael spent just over €135k. In fact, the latter used over a quarter of a million on ‘market research’ whose outcome was the frankly patronising motto ‘Let’s keep the recovery going.’
When adding other political entities, the tally of poster money reaches about €400k.
