A Dublin woman aged in her 40s has been charged with assault, following an alleged assault on a three year old girl over the weekend.
According to RTÉ News the charge comes after the young toddler was left in critical in hospital following an incident at a house in Shankill on Saturday afternoon.
Gardai say woman who was officially charged on Sunday, appeared before a special sitting of Bray District Court and was remanded in custody.
She is set to appear in court again on Thursday 15 February.
