A 51-year-old female pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car in Co. Kildare yesterday evening.
The incident happened on Canal Bridge, Osberstown, shortly before 8.30pm. It is understood that a car crashed into a parked vehicle, which then struck the woman. The culprit failed to remain at the scene.
Gardai arrested a 16-year-old male shortly afterwards.
