A 50-year-old man has been charged with eight offenses relating to a multiple stabbing in Dublin last month.
Riad Bouchaker, of no fixed address, appeared at Dublin District Court this afternoon.
On November 23, three children and their guardians were attacked and stabbed in Parnell Square East.
A five-year-old girl and her caregiver remain seriously ill in hospital.
The suspect was also taken to the hospital, but yesterday morning he was released and taken into custody.
He was interviewed by Store Street detectives yesterday and today and, following consultation with the Director of Public Prosecutions, a number of serious criminal charges were brought against him.
