Gardai have stormed Dublin’s city centre tonight and locked off a number of areas where young people were congregating.
The Iveagh Gardens, St Stephen’s Green and South William Street have all been cordoned off by gardai forcing the young revellers who were partying there to go elsewhere.
The move was an effort to prevent similar violence that occurred in the area on Friday night. A total of 14 people were arrested, 5 of whom are under 18.
Meanwhile further crowds are gathering tonight in Dame St, George St and even Grafton St with gardai saying they’ll use as much force as necessary.
