A man in his 50s has sadly died after entering the water off cliffs in Co Clare, the Coast Guard has confirmed.
Gardaí and other emergency services rushed to the scene at Kilkee Cliff Walk this afternoon.
The man was removed from the water by the coast guard but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed by air ambulance to University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem is due to be carried out.
