The Department of Health have confirmed that there has been 1,978 new Covid-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours.
In an announcement the Department also confirmed that there are 221 people in hospital with Covid-19.
They also say there are 43 people in ICU across the country with the virus.
It’s understood that NPHET it concerned with how the outlook on cases continue to hover around 1,800 cases per day.
NPHET has asked people to be ‘safe and cautious’ this weekend if meeting up with people.
