A 12-year-old was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a boating accident in the Abbey River in Co. Limerick earlier today.
It is understood that four young girls were on board a small craft when it overturned. Three of them escaped with minor injuries, but a fourth became trapped under the boat.
She was transferred to University Hospital Limerick, and will be flown to Dublin for specialist treatment later today.
