While she may have received criticism over the years for her soppy love songs and her outstanding track record for celebrity break-ups, the pennsylvanian sweet heart must be doing something right. It has been announced that she is 2014’s top grossing music performer according to the Billboards money makers list.
It is the second time in two years that the country singer (24) received the title. She also came top of the list in 2012. Her financial success this year however was mainly due to the Red tour which netted her $30m.
It may also have something to do with loyal country western followers when another country singer Kenny Chesney followed closely down the list with earnings of $32.9m following the success of his seventh number one album and tour.
It wasn’t all young talent that made the list.‘The Rolling Stones’ and ‘Bon Jovi’ came fourth and fifth on the list due to their recent come back tours.
