The Tánaiste Simon Coveney has said that his party will not consider entering a coalition with Sinn Féin despite the latest election results.
Coveney who echoed the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s comments said that his party will not consider a coalition as both parties have very different mandates.
Although Coveney congratulated Sinn Féin for their recent surge in support, he stated a coalition between the two will not happen as his party promised voters that they would not consider that option.
He added that Fine Gael must must respect its mandate and their voters.
