“They should all come down” – Black Lives Matter activist calls for removal of Jesus and Mary statues because they’re a form of white supremacy

One of the key figures of the Black Lives Matter movement and an influential voice in the US Democratic Party and American left wing politics in general, Shaun King, has said that all depictions of “white Jesus” and his “European mother” should be torn down.

King tweeted:

“Yes.

All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down.

They are a gross form white supremacy.

Created as tools of oppression.
Racist propaganda.

They should all come down.”

As part of the BLM protests and riots across the United States, mobs have been tearing down statues that offend them including some of America’s founding fathers, Presidents, politicians, explorers such as Christopher Columbus and Catholic saints.

Now it appears as if churches and in particular Catholic churches, where depictions of the Crucified Christ and Virgin Mary are most common are to become new targets.

Some online have pointed out the fact that by the logic of Black Lives Matter, they should be targeting Mosque’s for destruction as founder of the Islamic ideology, Mohammed, was a slave owner and trader.
