A new Minister for Agriculture is expected next week has been revealed.
According to the Irish Farmers Association the Taoiseach Micheal Martin who is currently acting Minister for Agriculture is expected to announce Dara Calleary’s replacement next week.
In a tweet the IFA said: “We held a meeting with Taoiseach Micheal Martin yesterday to raise our concerns about agriculture at what is a critical time for the sector. He confirmed that he will appoint a Minister for Agriculture next week.”
