The number of cases of the Delta or Indian variant of Covid-19 has risen to 115 cases.
Speaking about the rise in cases, the head of the National Virus Reference Laboratory, Dr Cillian de Gascun said that there currently 115 cases of the variant in the country.
Dr de Gascun said although there has been a slight increase up from 97 last week, he said the situation remains stable.
However he did warn that the public must be cautious as this number could increase significantly especially if there is a super spreader event.
