21 months handed down to migrant (58) who sexually assaulted young woman (20) in Dublin

A guy was sentenced to 21 months in prison for sexually abusing a lady and following her onto a train, reports RTE.

In November 2016, Abderrahmane El Aaour, 58, who resides in a hostel, entered a guilty plea at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to the charge of sexually assaulting a lady who was 20 years old in a city suburb.

He’s been convicted before, but not for any sexual offences.

The woman was in her second year of a special needs training programme, said to Gavin Fleet, the prosecution’s attorney, and she was sitting outside a church when El Aaour approached her and asked for a cigarette, reports RTE.

She’d never seen him in her life. He asked her to get a coffee when she replied that she didn’t have a cigarette.

The woman subsequently admitted to the gardaí that she was terrified to say “no” and so she agreed to go for coffee.

According to Gda Fleet, the woman stated she had to leave the café after a short while, but El Aaour persuaded her to stay.The woman was in her second year of a special needs training programme, said to Gavin Fleet, the prosecution’s attorney, and she was sitting outside a church when El Aaour approached her and asked for a cigarette, reports RTE.
