After months of speculation, the three TDs will finally make a “major announcement” about their new party on Wednesday next week.
In a statement, they said: “We are excited to be working together to offer a new credible political choice to the Irish electorate. No further comment will be made until the event on Wednesday.”
The new party follows the creation of Renua by former Fine Gael junior minister Lucinda Creighton and several other TDs.
It is understood that the ideology of this newest political force will lean heavily on centre-left economic policy, social justice campaigning and political reform.
