Great news Christmas lovers – Donegal Postman/Weatherman says Ireland WILL get a white Christmas this year!

One of the most notorious postmen/weathermen in the entire country has made a prediction that Ireland is in line for a site everyone loves to see… a white Christmas!

Michael Gallagher is well known for his reputation of predicting seasonal patterns from having traveled his native Donegal by foot for the past 40 years.

A neighbour of Micheal has confirmed to The Liberal that the postman/weatherman told her the following:
“I was talking to Michael and asked him what he thought about whether we’d be getting snow for Christmas. I have to admit, everyone asks him but he never really says one way or the other until he’s fully sure with his prediction”.

Michael said:
“We had a relatively rain-free summer, we’re getting and will continue to get a mild Autumn. Both of those indicate that we’ll get a quick cold-snap in last week of November. This cold cycle won’t break for temperatures generally deep well below zero as a result. My prediction, judging by past decades of similar previous conditions is that we will get heavy rainfall mid to late December and temperatures will turn the rain to snow.”

Get the cameras ready, we’re in for a scenic festive season!
