Met Eireann have issued a yellow warning with half a month’s rainfall expected to fall over the weekend. The worst effected areas are said to be Southern and Western coastal areas.
Torrential rainfall amounting to half a month’s rain will fall from Friday night until Sunday. Winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 60mph.
The treacherous conditions come with a warning that anyone who is out and about over the weekend should take extra care especially when driving at night as flash flooding and fallen trees could prove dangerous.
