The outgoing Taoiseach Enda Kenny has revealed this week that he does not know what his future plans hold and that he has held no discussions about a future role in the current Government.
Mr Kenny who is about to draw the curtain on his six year stint as Taoiseach also gave his full support to his successor Leo Varadkar.
Speaking in Chicago on his final state visit Mr Kenny said he does not know what his future holds and dismissed speculation that he was considering taking a smaller role within the government.
Mr Kenny who all but lost the confidence of his fellow party colleague did state that he will hold discussions with Mr Varadkar in the coming weeks regarding his succession, he also revealed he will remain on as a TD until the government is dissolved in the summer.
