Mobile phone users in the UK and the North could very well face roaming charges once again following Brexit.
In a move that could potentially affect users both North and South of the border following the UK’s exit from EU.
The potentially costly news comes after the British Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed last week that the UK will not remain part of the EU’s Digital Single Market once they leave the EU.
Although the British Government has yet to decide on the re-intrdouction for roaming charges, mobile phone users who travel either side of the border in the near future could very well see themselves paying more to user their phone.
The move which has already annoyed many mobile users across the Irish Sea, the British Government’s decision could very well have a knock on effect for Irish mobile phones users as the UK’s decision to leave the Digital Market would make them exempt to the EU’s recent ruling that has seen roaming charges abolished across the entire continent.
