Presidential candidate Peter Casey says travellers as people camping on someone else’s land and they don’t pay enough tax

Peter Casey, arguably the only Presidential candidate to throw two fingers up to political correctness has once again spoken his mind – this time about the Irish traveller community.

Speaking on a podcast on Independent.ie, Peter Casey said that he thought Irish travellers effectively camp on someone else’s land and don’t contribute enough taxes to society.

When the podcast was aired by Independent.ie, a lot of backlash was aimed at Mr Casey with some people even calling for his exit from the race.

However, there have been many other people who are saying that Casey is speaking his mind and speaking up against political correctness – irrespective of whether they agree with him about the traveller community or not.
