The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that the Covid-19 situation has stabilised despite the high number of cases.
Speaking at the NPHET briefing, Dr Glynn said that the recent measures introduced won’t make an impact on the course of the disease until next week.
Dr Glynn said that the public must continue to play their part in suppressing the virus over the coming weeks ahead.
He urged people to continue follow guidelines and to reduce their number of contacts.
