Emergency services had to be called to rescue Six people from an amusement ride which malfunctioned 60 metres above the ground in Tramore, Co Waterford last night.
It is believed that the amusement ride had an mechanical failure when it was in operation which caused the ride to stop in mid air.
It is understood that the group of six people who are believed to be two families from Co Tyrone holidaying were in the air for around an hour tonight before being rescued by the emergency services.
The incident immediately started trending on social media website twitter with onlookers posting pictures of the group being rescued. (pic below)
