Another one bites the dust: The Minister for Social Protection Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys will not contest the upcoming general election




The Minister for Social Protection Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys will no contest the next general election, it’s been confirmed.

The Monaghan TD is stepping down from her massively paid job at the end of the term. She’ll not stand in her native county.

Instead, The Liberal has spoken tonight with a resident in Carrickmacross who told us that it’s being speculated the Humphreys may run for the Aras in 2025 to try and become President of Ireland.
