At least seven children killed in latest US bombing in Kabul as US hastily exits the country in what’s described as a botched withdrawal

As the US hastily exits Afghanistan, a UNICEF representative in Afghanistan told reporters that at least seven children have been killed in a US airstrike in Kabul.

The Pentagon had said the strike eliminated an “imminent threat” by ISIS-K terrorists to the ongoing airlift.

“We have confirmation from open sources that seven children were killed” in the incident, Herve De Lys, UNICEF’s envoy to Afghanistan reports RT.

The UNICEF envoy said “We don’t know who is behind the strike”.
His statement is being viewed as “puzzling”, since the same open sources that reported the deaths clearly attributed the strike to the US. The New York Times for example were one of the media outlets who attributed the bombing to the US military.

Many in the legacy media circuit are claiming the US withdrawal was botched.
