A baby abandoned in the woods in Taiwan is likely to have been killed and eaten by stray dogs, local authorities say.
The baby, believed to have been dumped by his young parents on the day of his birth, had reportedly been stuffed into a plastic bag before being abandoned in wasteland in the Kaohsiun area of south Taiwan. When authorities went searching, they only found small fragments of bone and signs of animal activity.
The mother, a 19-year-old woman, had reportedly suffered mental health issues in the past and had been under the care of relevant authorities in the country.
