Bambie puke: Ireland’s Eurovision hopeful hospitalised after eating ‘bad shellfish’

Bambie Thug, an Irish contestant for Eurovision, had to postpone her meet-and-greet appearance in Malmö, Sweden, due to food sickness, reports RTE.

After being rushed to the hospital late last night, the 31-year-old from Macroom, Cork, was forced to postpone an event that was arranged with the independent Eurovision blog and YouTube channel Wiwibloggs on Saturday.

Bambie Thug expressed their regret on Saturday afternoon, stating that they wanted to be well in time for their gigs the following week, reports RTE.

Tuesday, May 7, is when Bambie is scheduled to play their song Doomsday Blue in the first of the two Eurovision semi-finals.

Posting on their Instagram Story, they wrote: “I had to go to hospital late last night and be put on a drip because I ate some bad shellfish. I need to take the day to try and recover so I can smash my performances next week,” reports RTE.

They added: “I promise I’ll make it up to you,” reports RTE.
