A 15-yr-girl has been killed in a single-vehicle road crash in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow.
The girl travelling in a car which crashed at Slaney Park shortly before 5am this morning.
She was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene; no-one else was seriously injured, gardaí said.
The driver of the car, a 15-yr-old male, was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Road Traffic Act and is being detained at a garda station in Wicklow.
The road at the area of Slaney Park remains closed with local diversions in place and forensic collision investigators are at the scene.
