Black doctor dies of covid after complaining she didn’t receive proper treatment because she was the victim of racism

A black doctor who died of coronavirus after battling the virus for weeks had previously said she was the victim of racism and delayed proper care at a Carmel hospital because of her race.

In response, the CEO of the healthcare system requested an external review of the deceased doctor’s experience.

52-yr-old Dr.Susan Moore, died on December 20th after several hospital stays due to complications from COVID-19, first at IU Health North and then at Ascension-St. Vincent at Carmel.

Her frustrations with care at IU Health were recorded in several updates on a Facebook video. The first took place on December 4th when she said the delays in her treatment and diagnosis were due to the color of his skin. There has been a mixed reaction to the Facebook video with many agreeing with the doctor while others saying that the needed more proof.
