Four people have been killed after a private jet crashed into a car auction. The jet had been attempting to land into Blackbushe Airport in Hampshire when it burst into flames.
The pilot and the three other passengers that the jet was carrying all died in the accident. Nobody else was injured but cars received extensive damage.
The Phenom 300 jet, which was worth up to €7million crashed shortly after 3pm and the airfield has since been closed.
Sources told the Press Association the jet had flown from Milan in Italy and was attempting to land. Debris from the jet could be seen strewn among the dozens of severely damaged cars.
Blackbushe airport provides facilities for private jets and hosts a flying school. Blackbushe was originally a passenger airport before the growth of Gatwick and Heathrow and was originally an RAF base. The airport provides facilities for private jets as well as holding a flying school.
