The deceased was found this afternoon at his address on Glendhu Road, off the Navan Road, in Cabra.
The man is believed to have sustained head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the body remains inside the house. Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
The area has been sealed off, pending a technical examination.
