At least eight people have been shot dead in the western German city of Hanau with several other people injured, police sources have confirmed.
German newspaper Bild is reporting that at least eight people have lost their lives, while five others have been badly wounded.
The shooting took place at two shisha bars in different parts of Hanua, with suspects said to be on the loose.
Hanau is a city of 100,000 inhabitants in the state of Hessen, and is located 15 miles east of Frankfurt.
