

Cork’s anti-lockdown protest has passed peacefully with attendees saying that there was a good, friendly atmosphere.
Gardai say that 500 people attended the protest which took place on Patrick’s Street and started shortly after 2pm.
Attendees were asked to socially distance themselves by organisers, who said they wanted a peaceful rally to take place.
Gardai say that the rally was peaceful with no unrest.
At the end of the rally, the Our Father prayer was recited in Irish along with the national anthem and a very loud cheer.
