A major fire incident at luxury tower block with “grenfell-style” cladding in East London broke out at lunchtime on Friday with residents saying that it was similar to that of what happened at Grenfell in 2017.
More than 125 fire fighters and 20 fire engines battled the blaze which is now thankfully under control, say authorities.
People living in high rise apartment blocks remain on high alert due to the cladding on the exterior of the block of apartments. The same cladding was used in the Grenfell tower block.
