In what can only be described as major breaking news, Ireland’s lockdown restrictions are looking like they’ll last for a much longer time.
All mass gatherings in Ireland have been completely banned until the autumn, August or September, with the government to give further details later today.
It’s understood that the decision was taken by Ministers at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday morning and that it will be formerly announced later today.
It means that all major sporting fixtures such as football, hurling, boxing and conerts will either be cancelled or rearranged.
Large weddings will also have to be rearranged.
