The national forecaster, Met Eireann has given a stern warning to motorists to drive with extreme care as temperatures are set to plummet overnight.
According to Met Eireann, widespread frost and black ice is expected in most places overnight as temperatures range from -2c to 2c.
The national forecaster said that anyone who’ll be on the roads overnight or early tomorrow morning need to be wary that black ice will be prevalent and to drive slow and with caution.
People are advised to share this information with their friends who’ll be on the roads.
