Coronavirus: Italy sees another 602 people die in the past 24 hours with more than 63,000 confirmed cases




The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Italy increased by almost 5,000 overnight. According to Italian officials, the total number of confirmed cases has increased from 59,138 to 63,928. The mortality rate saw another 602 dying in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 6,078 on Monday evening.

Although this is an 11% increase, it is the smallest increase since Thursday. 651 people died on Sunday, followed by 793 Saturday and 627 Friday. Of the people originally infected across the country.
