After this week’s strike action from 10,000 HSE support staff, the government were forced to take notice.
The strikes happened after talks broke down again between SIPTU representatives and the HSE. 10,000 HSE support staff were left with no option but to take to the streets.
It’s understood that both parties failed to reach an agreement at the Workplace Relations Commission this afternoon.
More strike action was planned for next week but that has now been called off to allow further talks to take place in an effort to get a resolution to the crisis.
