BREAKING: Tanaiste in serious trouble as gardai question “Leo the leak” for hours in Dublin garda station

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar recently said that he doesn’t believe that he’ll face any charges over the GP contract leak.

Speaking to LMFM, Varadkar told the today with Michael Reade show that he doesn’t contemplate charges being brought against him as what he done wasn’t illegal or corrupt.

Although the Tanaiste admitted that his actions were an error in judgement and wrong, he told the programme he doesn’t believe he’ll be charged saying that won’t arise.

However, that may all change now as the Sunday Independent reports that the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar was questioned for hours last week in a Dublin garda station in relation to the leaking of governmental documents.

It’s understood that the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI) is heading up the investigation and that they’re investigating Varadkar’s phone as part of the ongoing probe into the leak.

It’s understood that gardai see the text messages as not relevant to the investigation.

Nevertheless, many on social media now believe that Leo Varadkar is in serious trouble and that a sitting Minister being questioned by gardai like this makes their position untenable.

The Garda investigation was launched into an incident that saw a contract being leaked to the National Association of General Practitioners.
