A 13-yr-old boy has tragically died after he was struck by a truck in Cork city centre this afternoon.
The incident occurred on Sheares Street in the city centre at 3.30pm.
The boy was taken to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Cork where sadly he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Anglesea garda station.
