A woman aged in her 60s has sadly died and six others have been seriously injured and rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Co Mayo this afternoon.
Gardai are still at the scene of the fatal crash on the N59 in Newport, County Mayo. The collision occurred at 4.30pm this afternoon.
They are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
