Leo Varadkar appears to be playing the tough guy with his UK counterpart, Boris Johnson.
Varadkar said that the Government was open to any proposals or alternations from the British Government that would achieve everything the backstop achieved, something that thus far has been absolutely impossible achieve.
Speaking about the backstop and the northern border, Varadkar said that it was simply just a means to an end.
He recently said that in the case of a no-deal Brexit, there would need to be checks near the border, something that didn’t go down well with the people living near the border.
Varadkar says that he’s willing to listen to all sides on the debate to see if there can be a resolution.
