Bye bye Holohan? Martin refuses to confirm or deny that NPHET will be disbanded in October

It appears as though Ireland is taking a turn in its fight against covid, and possibly, just possibly that turn will include not seeing nearly as much of Tony Holohan as we have done so for the past 18 months.

The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has refused to confirm whether or not NPHET will be disbanded in October.

Speaking today the Taoiseach said he is not confirming anything as we have further meetings ahead.

Martin said that although we are moving to a new phase in the fight again Covid-19, there will still be many twists and turns in the road ahead.

He added that the Government are still concerned about the Delta variant.

It is understood the Taoiseach’s comments come after it was reported in The Irish Independent that the National Public Health Emergency Team could be disbanded in October.
