Stargazers and astronomy aficionados are in for a treat in two nights’ time, as five planets across the Solar System will loom into plain view on the sky’s dark canvas.
This phenomenon will take place between January 24th and February 6th, when the planets will align from east to west in the following order: Mercury will take point, followed by Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter.
Such unusual event occurs when all five worlds become aligned along the ecliptic (the imaginary line on the sky that traces the yearly journey of the sun) plane.
It will not happen again until at least 2023, so watch the skies!
